Rural Crafts

The Mid Devon Show are committed to promoting traditional crafts production that is carried on in the agricultural countryside. Once widespread and commonplace, the survival of some rural crafts is now in doubt according to recent reports. It is essential that these skills are demonstrated and shared with new generations for them to continue.

The Mid Devon Show promotes these crafts by inviting people to demonstrate their particular skills FREE OF CHARGE

Examples of rural crafts would be:

  • Basket making (for carrying)
  • Bushcraft
  • Potter
