The Mid Devon Show proudly champions the art of traditional rural crafts — skills that have been handed down through generations and form an important part of our countryside heritage. Sadly, some of these crafts are now at risk of disappearing, but we’re not giving up without a fight! We believe that the best way to keep them alive is by sharing them with future generations.
That’s why we warmly invite talented artisans to join us and demonstrate their skills completely FREE OF CHARGE.
As a Rural Craft Exhibitor, you agree that you are attending the Show to demonstrate your craft and engage with the general public. You are NOT permitted to have displays of items for sale. However, if you do sell the odd item, a 10% commission is payable to the Show by the end of the day. Please note, to qualify for a free pitch, you should be demonstrating throughout the day.
By showcasing these time-honoured crafts, we can inspire others, spark curiosity, and help ensure these traditions continue to thrive. Join us in celebrating and protecting the craftsmanship that shaped our rural communities — together, we can keep these remarkable skills alive.

Rural crafts will tend to vary in their styles from place to place, and will thus often contribute strongly to a sense of place.
