The Classic Buses that will be showcased at the event are not just any ordinary buses. These vehicles are rich in history and are a testament to the evolution of transportation. The attention to detail in their restoration is something to behold, from the vintage advertisements to the authentic seating and fixtures. These beautiful vehicles will bring back memories for lots of our visitors and the chance to show them to the unlucky ones who did not get to ride them. Buses join us from various organisation including Jonathan Hawkins from Dartmouth and also our local Devon General Omnibus Trust. The Devon General Omnibus Trust is a registered charity established in 2013 to support and promote the rescue, restoration, preservation and operation of historic vehicles that once carried the livery of the DEVON GENERAL OMNIBUS & TOURING CO. LTD. and to advance knowledge amongst both enthusiasts and the general public about the history of the company.

1964 AEC Regent V 503 RUO
503 RUO was the first bus acquired by DGOT in 2013. It was one of eight Willowbrook – bodied 69 seaters. Bought by Devon General in 1964 and was withdrawn from service in 1980. Its restoration was complete in 2023
1991 Dennis Dominator H262 MFX
One of 8 Dennis Dominator for Bournemouth Yellow Buses in 1991 acquired straight from use into preservation in 2006
1957 AEC Regent V VDV 817
VDV 817 was one of 23 open-platform rear entrance AEC Regent V double deckers purchased by Devon General between 1955 and 1957 for use on Exeter city services.
It was withdrawn from service in 1971 and acquired by DGOT in 2017.
1963 Leyland Titan PD3A/1 6167RU
Built for Bournemouth Corporation Transport. One of 30 vehicles purchased to replace the corporations famous Trolley Bus Fleet. Withdrawn in 1974 and sold to the Isle of Man, bought for preservation and restored to the famous yellow livery.
1950 Leyland Titan PD2/3 KEL 131
One of 30 ordered for Bournemouth Corporation with Weymann bodywork. Traditional BCT layout of dual staircase, entrance platform and exit front door. Been in restoration for over 40 years
1949 Leyland Tiger PS2/1 JLJ 402
One of 3 Coaches / Buses built by Burlingham delivered to Bournemouth Corporation. All 3, 76 years later are still in preservation converted to one man operation in 1959.
1960 Leyland Titan PD3/1 8159 EL
One of 20 Diesel Buses delivered to Bournemouth Corporation and last open to platform Bus delivered to them. Built to their Trolley Bus design with 2 staircases. Used as a mobile museum now fully restored.
1969 Leyland Atlantean ORU 230G
